The room
The room is still being built, so these representative stock photos show the equipment, training zones, and member spaces planned for the finished Q Fitness gym.

America's first 24/7, solar-powered gym
Babcock Ranch was built from day one to run on solar power — America's first solar-powered town. Q Fitness runs on that same grid, open around the clock, every light, every machine, every hour of the night.
Nine thousand square feet, drawn out
This is the proposed layout: 100 feet by 90, two Jungle Gym cable stations, five Smith machines, four power racks with deadlift platforms, dumbbells to 250lb, a 40-foot turf lane, and a posing/content room. Have a look before you drive over.
Tap any area of the plan
Fifteen zones, numbered on the plan above. Hover, tap or tab through them to see what goes where — and what equipment is there — before you ever set foot in the building.
What's on the floor
Taken from the plan above. Manufacturers and exact counts go in before launch — people search for specific kit, and a real list beats "state of the art facilities" every time.
Photos below are manufacturer reference photos for the specific equipment going into Babcock Ranch — not stock, not generated, and not the actual units, but the real style and model being sourced. Swapped for on-site photography once the new floor is built.
Racks & barbells
Four power racks with built-in deadlift platforms, a Panther rack beside the turf, and a full bench and barbell area — two flat, two inclined.
Dumbbells
Dumbbells from 5 to 250 lbs at two stations — the front wall and a second stand by the cardio deck.
Two Jungle Gyms
Cable crossovers, lat pulldowns, cable rows, tricep pushdowns, single adjustable cables and TRX mounts, across two stations.
Smith machines
Five in total — three standard, plus a unilateral flat-and-incline and a unilateral incline / shoulder-press rig for work a straight bar can't do.
Free weights & functional
A full line of kettlebells, slam balls, medicine balls and resistance bands alongside the machine rows.
Turf & cardio
A 15 by 40 foot turf lane for sled pushes and carries, and a cardio deck of treadmills, bikes and an upright climber. Cardio brands on the current floor include Octane Fitness, Cybex, Landice and Vision Fitness.
Boxing
Heavy bags from 100 to 300 lbs and two speed bags, for anyone training rounds instead of reps.
A few things most gyms this size don't have. A dedicated posing and content room, for anyone prepping for a stage or shooting for Instagram. Two full locker rooms — men's and women's, each with handicap-accessible stalls and showers — drawn in from the start rather than retrofitted. A private massage room with therapists on site. And a separate recovery room.
Built so a first-timer isn't embarrassed. Benches and barbells sit on one side of the floor, dumbbells and kettlebells on the other — so if you've never lifted before, you're not dropped in next to somebody deadlifting 400lb on your first day. Pick a side, ease in, and nobody's watching.
Three lounges, not one. Each stocked with vending machines for energy and protein drinks — pick whichever one is closest to where you're training.
More than a membership. Small-group classes, one-to-one personal training and post-rehabilitation sessions all run on this floor — see Training for the details.
The owner does the fixing. Mike walks the floor and maintains the equipment every night, and repairs whatever breaks himself — everything, he says, except the cardio machines. Those he leaves to the professionals.
How the door works
Members unlock the door with the Rhombus app on their phone — no fob to carry or lose. It opens at any hour, every day of the year, including holidays. Your entry is logged, so we always know who's in the building.
- Phone-only entry via Rhombus — no code sharing, no tailgating
- Camera coverage across the floor and entry
- Emergency call points on the training floor
- Babcock Ranch police and fire train here too — their station is right across the street
- Staffed hours for tours, sign-ups and coaching (to be confirmed)
- Daily cleaning, plus wipe stations at every station
Come and walk the floor
Book a free intro session and a coach will show you round the whole room. No tour script, no sales meeting attached.
