The Real American Gym · Est. 1992
Babcock Ranch's only 24/7 gym with real coaching
America's first solar-powered gym.
Opening soon in Babcock Ranch. Train whenever you want, without a fixed-term contract—and with coaches who actually know your name.
- 24/7 access from your phone via the Rhombus app—even at 4 a.m. or on Christmas Day
- Inside Babcock Ranch—America's first solar-powered town
- Real coaches—not just a room full of equipment
- App access, a baseline workout, and a body scan included with every membership
Leave the big-box gym behind
You already know how that story goes. You sign a twelve-month contract in January, wait twenty minutes for a squat rack in February, and by March nobody there could pick you out of a line-up. Q Fitness was built as the opposite of that.
The big-box deal
- Twelve-month contract, cancellation by certified letter
- Annual fees and service charges you find in the fine print
- Staffed hours only — closed exactly when your shift ends
- Peak-hour queues for the equipment you actually came for
- A "free consultation" that turns into a sales meeting
- Nobody notices when you stop showing up
The Q Fitness deal
- Ongoing membership — no fixed term to serve out
- Every price printed on the page — no fine print, no surprise fee
- Your phone opens the door 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Sized and equipped for a neighbourhood, not a franchise map
- A free intro session with a coach — no pitch attached
- We notice. That's the whole point of a small gym
Who's behind the door
Meet the owner
Q Fitness isn't a franchise with a regional manager. It's one gym, in one town, run by Mike — 34 years into a career as a physical therapist assistant and exercise physiologist before he ever opened a door here.
He's trained everyone from youth athletes to professional teams to members well past fifty, and he built this gym the way he's always coached: start with a real baseline, not a guess. He runs his own certification program, he still cleans the equipment himself, and he fixes whatever breaks — except, he'll tell you, the cardio machines. Those he leaves to the professionals.

Founders Presale rates. These are launch prices held for founding members, and joining is entirely digital — no paper contract to sign. Billing runs in three steps: your first month is your first and last month's dues, held as a deposit. Your second month is just the normal monthly rate. Your third month adds the one-time membership fee — $49 on Founding Member and on the LEO, Military, First Responder & Teacher rate, $89 on Founding Family — on top of that month's dues. Every month after that, it's flat: just your monthly rate.
Getting started takes three steps
Join online
Pick a plan, pay, and your phone is your key. Five minutes, no appointment, no "let me get my manager."
Meet your coach
Every membership includes a free intro session. Not ready to commit? A bit intimidated by a weight room? That is exactly who this session is for.
Train on your schedule
Night shift, school run, 5am before work — the door opens whenever you get there. That's the whole promise.
Inside the gym
A preview of the high-quality equipment planned for the room — from Smith machines and cable stations to the cardio and free-weight floor.
Hear it from members
One real review is in — the rest stay open until other members give real quotes. Full reviews go live alongside the Google Business Profile review engine described in the site plan.
More than a room full of iron
A gym that shows up
One challenge and one event on the calendar every month, from the day we open. Members train harder when somebody's expecting them.
Next up: the launch challenge and the first member meet-up — dates confirmed on the community page.
Keep your Founding rate wherever you spend the summer
Snowbirds don't have to choose between the Founders Presale rate and actually training while they're away. Switch to online coaching for the season and keep both.
Same coaches, a written program, a meal plan built around it, and check-ins that don't stop just because you're not on our floor. Keep training with people who already know your history, wherever you end up.
Straight answers
No paper contract — you join and cancel digitally, and there's no twelve-month commitment to escape. Give us 30 days' notice before your next billing date and it stops. We'll ask what didn't work, not to talk you out of it, just so we can fix it for the next person. Full details are in your membership agreement.
Your first month is first and last month's dues, held as a deposit. Your second month is just the normal monthly rate. Your third month adds the one-time membership fee on top of that month's dues, and every month after that is flat. Nothing else: no annual maintenance charge and no surprise "facility improvement" fee in June. Every figure is printed on the memberships page.
Yes. Your phone gets you in — nobody's sharing a code or wedging the door — and every entry is logged, cameras cover the floor, and there are emergency call points if you ever need one. Babcock Ranch police and fire train here too; their station is right across the street. Full details of the after-hours setup are on the The Gym page.
Staffed cleaning every day, wipe stations at every station, and broken equipment tagged and reported the day it breaks. If something's wrong, tell us — the owner reads every message.
No, and that's not just a line. The floor's laid out for it: the left side is machines and cardio for general and intermediate fitness, so you're never dropped in next to the heaviest lifters on your first day — the plate-loaded free weights are over on the right, for the more advanced lifters and athletes. Every membership also includes a free intro session with a coach who will walk you round, set up your first few sessions and answer the questions you'd rather not ask in front of anybody. Most of our members started exactly there.
Stop waiting for Monday
Meet a coach, walk the floor, and decide after. No fixed term, and every program included.
